Our promise to families

Kashology is built for children aged 4–10, so we collect as little as possible. There are no ads, no ad networks and no third-party advertising trackers anywhere in the game. Children never create their own account: a parent or guardian creates the account and sets up each hero profile.

What we collect

  • Parent account details: email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider) and the name you choose to enter.
  • Hero profile details you enter for your child: a hero name (a nickname is fine), age, avatar, colour, companion and learning focus.
  • Gameplay data: quest progress, coins earned, chest and vault savings, purchases of quest supplies, seeds planted, trades, collectibles and achievements.
  • Chores and co-op activity: chore titles you assign, approvals, payouts and messages sent in a co-op session.
  • Billing data handled by our payment provider: we receive subscription status, not your full card number.
  • Basic technical data needed to run and secure the service, such as request logs.

What we do not collect

  • No advertising identifiers, ad targeting profiles or behavioural ad tracking.
  • No precise location data.
  • No photos, camera or microphone access.
  • No requirement to give your child's real full name — a hero nickname works perfectly.

How we use it

We use this information to run the game, save your child's progress, show you accurate learning insights in the parent dashboard, process your subscription, keep accounts secure and answer support requests. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your child's data to advertise anything.

Children's privacy and parental control

Because all data about a child is entered and controlled by the account-holding parent, you can review, change or delete any hero profile and its gameplay history at any time from the parent dashboard. Deleting a hero profile removes its progress, chores, collectibles and achievements. Deleting your account removes the parent profile and every hero profile attached to it.

Who we share data with

  • Our hosting and database provider, which stores account and gameplay data securely on our behalf.
  • Our payment provider, which processes subscriptions and free trials and holds your card details directly.
  • Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.

These providers act as processors for us and may not use your family's data for their own purposes.

Security and retention

Data is stored on managed infrastructure with row-level access rules so a parent can only ever read their own household's records, and traffic is encrypted in transit. We keep your data while your account is active and delete or anonymise it after you close your account, except where we must retain billing records by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or object to certain processing. Email privacy@kashology.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your family's data we will update this page and, for material changes, email the account holder before the change takes effect.
